Last year's tree was our biggest (and best, in my opinion!) ever but basically paralyzed the family due to the amount of space it needed so I promised Lee that this year's tree would be smaller. Well, it's not as TALL....but it's definitely fatter. For the first time ever, he actually needed someone to help him get it on top of the truck and it's surprising that he didn't suffer any physical injury getting it into our house. Below are more pictures from our adventures on Candy Cane Hill.
Lee, Elizabeth, Emily and the perfect tree....

Great tree! I can't look at that last picture without thinking of "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"!! Two years ago we got a 16 foot tree that required us to tie a rope around the base and secure it to the foundation! It grew on a hill and while the trunk was level the tree was dangerously cooked! I don't think Howie's back (or new hernia) were ever quite the same after what shall henceforth be referred to as "The Christmas tree debacle of 2006" In fact, if I wanted to, I could probably still pick wayward needles from Howie's butt crack.
He bought a fake tree that next January!
