Academic & Service Awards

In early May, Emily received something that both she and Elizabeth have always longed for - an invitation to NWC's Academic & Service Awards night. Although she received an academic award as a freshman (for having the highest math average in her class), COVID prevented them from having a large assembly and she didn't know she was receiving the award until about 1/2 hour before. This time, we knew a few weeks in advance, and she was so excited. When we arrived, we all read through the brochure, trying to figure out which book award she might have qualified for. She was shocked and oh so happy to receive the University of Notre Dame Book Award!!

And She's Off

Elizabeth is off on the adventure of a lifetime, spending a month in France on an academic course that satisfies the semester abroad requirement of her major.  She's with two close friends - and 25 other classmates - and they've planned all sorts of fun side trips along the way.  We can't wait to hear about all of her adventures.

Brand new luggage from Aunt Denise. With that color, it couldn't possibly be lost - at least, not for more than 48 hours, which it was!!

Change of Plans

Emily made it through the entire preseason of NWC lax and then, at the last moment, decided that she didn't want to play anymore.  After starting and playing every minute of every game for two straight seasons, it just wasn't fun and she was miserable.  She met with the AD and was able to switch to outdoor track, which she is absolutely loving.

April Soccer

The Sporting girls started off the spring season good, with a couple of wins and only one loss.  They are really starting to click under the guidance of their new coach.
