On Friday, when Connecticut was flooded with four inches of rain in less than 12 hours, New Hampshire got the same thing - in ice. Beginning early Friday morning, all of our New Hampshire family reported losing power, most for at least ten hours (which for my parents and sister, who live in highly populated areas, is very unusual). My brother Joe and his family, as well as Lee's parents, are still without power today. Joe, having been through a power loss before, has a generator, so his family at least has the basics; Lee's parents do not, so they are staying with Aunt Denise and Uncle Andy (thank you!) and are optimistic that they'll be back at the lake by mid-week. Below are some pictures that Joe sent last night from what he reports as a "war zone." We are keeping you all in our thoughts and hope you have power soon!
