"All Pooped Out"

If you follow our blog, chances are that you know us pretty well.  And if you know us well, you know how much we - all four of us - love routine and consistency.  Well, Lee and I recently sat down to write out our fall schedule - not the extras, but the weekly (or multi-weekly) activities in which we are each involved, so that we would know who had to be where and when each day.  Let me just say this - HURRAY for Fridays, the only day of the week without a regularly scheduled extracurricular activity (although we do have a school activity tonight).  Elizabeth has a soccer game every Saturday and practice twice during the week; both girls have dance classes and religious education classes; throw in hockey for Lee and my long run days and there is just not much time left over - but whatever there is goes to YMCA Board meetings, PTA meetings, school events and the various social events to which the girls (and maybe even us!) are inevitably invited.  Whew!  Things are so hectic around here that Lee had to cut back his hours at work and I had to re-arrange my schedule at work to make everything work.  It's exhausting just thinking about it.  Which gets us back to the title of this blog post - recently, after a very full day, Elizabeth dropped in bed saying that she was just "all pooped out."  Mommy and Daddy too.
Close to falling asleep while watching television.
Zoned out.
