A Barbie Christmas

Aunt Denise gave Santa a run for his money this year, pulling out all of the stops with an explosion of Barbie accessories.  She gave Elizabeth a pink, remote-controlled convertible and Emily a stagecoach/hot air balloon - as you can imagine, both gifts were fantastically huge hits!  The girls have been playing with them non-stop.  Although I loved Barbies as a child, the feminist in me tells me that I shouldn't let the girls play with them.....I am simply delighted, however, by the amazing pretend play the girls engage in with them, for hours at a time, so I think that Barbies are going to be a staple in our home.  Thank you Aunt Denise for these wonderful gifts and the many hours of entertain they have brought us already!!

Lee gets the convertible road-ready!

Elizabeth is completely delighted by the remote control and her new powers!

Check out that grin!

Emily's stagecoach-turned-hot-air-balloon.

It flies!  Although not with the remote, which Emily did find to be a bit disappointing.
