September Soccer

The Northwest girls are playing arguably the toughest soccer schedule in the state this year - not a single team is a clear win and they have been scrapping and fighting for every tie and victory so far. They are currently 2-3-2 and two of the three losses were complete heart breakers for them - one on a PK with less than ten minutes left in a 0-0 game and the other when the goalie gave up two soft goals in the first ten minutes of the game and the rest was an even match of skill and toughness. We are hopeful that they can scrape together some wins in October and make the tournament. It has been fun to watch them play and some of the girls on the team are just operating on a different level. Emily has been inconsistent so far, but seems to be starting to come into her own and playing well.

Celebrating a big win over Hall, after tying them the week before.

First game at center back. She was definitely nervous, but played a great game, which was great for her confidence.

Her best game of the season was under the lights so this is the only good photo I was able to get.
