Connecticut Invention Convention

The first weekend in May, Emily participated in the statewide Invention Convention held at the University of Connecticut.  She was so excited to participate - foregoing a soccer game, a lacrosse game and a pool party to attend.  She and Lee had a great day, checking out all of the inventions.  Unfortunately, she was not one of the winners selected to go to nationals, which was very disappointing for her.  A good life lesson for Emily - you can't win everything.  She did enjoy the experience and the judging (public speaking) took her way out of her comfort zone, so we are so proud of her!
Heading out at the crack of dawn.

JPII inventors!
Lots of people - Lee said it was insane.
