Spring Soccer

Emily is playing a lot of soccer this spring and as can be expected, she's had some good games and some great games.  She played a tremendous game in goal for her Sporting team a few weekends ago, making 16 saves (including a penalty shot) in a 4-0 loss.  She was so "on" that day, it was just exciting to watch.  Last weekend, she played four games between her two teams, and scored a few goals.  After a few lackluster outings for Magic, she really came through last Sunday and had her best game of the season.

16 saves is enough to smile, even when you lose.

I love this photo - she actually won the ball here, but I love that it shows how tiny she is in comparison to so many of the kids she plays against.  She was so tough last Sunday.
