Let it Sew, Let it Sew, Let it Sew

Elizabeth has been sewing little projects here and there, but has really been bugging me to learn how to sew.  I can sew, although I rarely do, but I'm not a good teacher - in sewing, or anything else. I simply lack patience.  So when I found out that Joann's Fabrics offers sewing classes, I found one that was perfect for Elizabeth - and, even better, it was 50% off the day that we signed her up!!  She was a bit nervous going into it, but so excited once she was there.  She learned how to use a sewing machine and made a great pillow case.

The class was two hours long, so I did not have to stay.  She was just finishing up when I returned to pick her up.

wow, that is awesome. I love how she smooths out the material as she pushes thru the machine. I took lessons but never followed thru as I got older. I have a friend who sews and I recently found out that the beautiful clothes she wears and the gorgeous curtains hanging throughout her home, are sewn by her.
Good job Elizabeth
