After a one year hiatus, Feed Your Face returned with a bang last weekend. For close to 15 years (I can only ballpark the time frame, but I know that Lee started attending long before we were engaged), my parents have been having a summer BBQ that coincided with the arrival of my father's corn harvest. Although nature (being nature) has taken its toll on the corn crop the last couple of years, that little detail hasn't stopped the family from descending upon my parents every August, eating them out of house and home! And, true to form for our recent family gatherings, natural disaster loomed over us, as it has over our family Christmas celebration for the last three years - but we were able to get in and out of New Hampshire before Hurricane Irene hit (Uncle Mike was not so lucky!). As always, the food was superb and it was great to hang out with the family, even if only for a few hours.
