Seven

Our Elizabeth turns seven today.  Although all parents are biased about their children, there is something truly extraordinary about Elizabeth.  She has such an enormous heart - she cares about all people and all things and makes friends wherever she goes.  She is so intelligent - the things that she asks about, talks about and remembers can sometimes make us forget that she is still a little girl.  She is still an incredibly active child - although she can spend an extended period of time reading or playing games, she needs to move, move, move and nothing really seems to tire her out.  Her most often used expression is "what are we doing today [or tomorrow]?"  She wants to go places, experience new things, see new things and learn new things.  And while her never-ending thirst for activity and knowledge can be exasperating and exhausting for Lee and I, it also makes us realize how different she is from other children.  We are truly blessed to have Elizabeth in our lives.
Happy 7th Birthday to our extraordinary first born!  We love you!!

She has become such a great reader!
