Munster 4th of July Party

For the third consecutive year, we joined the Munster family for their annual 4th of July weekend party on the Connecticut River.  Despite the weather (it poured early Sunday afternoon), the family decided to go forward with the party and it was a great decision, as the rain held off for the rest of the day.  The girls had fun playing with the kids - Ben, Leo, Marchella, and especially Mari - and Lee and I really had a good time catching up with the extended Longo and Munster families.  Melissa and I met just about 14 years ago and have been friends ever since and it is so wonderful to see her and her family so often.  Year after year, we are amazed at how the extended Munster family welcomes us to their home with open arms.  Elizabeth loved being out on the dock and watching people water ski (more on that later) and Emily loved playing in the water and with the beach balls.  And the food - oh the food!  There was so much of it and it was so good!!  Once again, it was a great way to celebrate America's birthday!
Elizabeth loved sitting on the dock with Miss Melissa.

Elizabeth (thrilled) and Emily (terrified) on the dock.
Emily, watching the water skiers.
A relaxed Lee (not a common sight for us).
The girls and me.
Mari and Elizabeth - Elizabeth was in heaven holding her!  What a change from last year

Papa (Mark's dad) and Grammy (Melissa's mom) walk with Mari.
This looks tortuous, but Mari seemed to have a good time walking with the girls.
