Could it Be? Potty Trained?

So for all of my groaning and complaining, Emily is just about potty trained. After three days of protesting, screaming and peeing on the floor, something clicked. I can't emphasize how important it was to literally not leave the house - she stayed inside for five straight days, completely bottomless (it's actually a lot harder than it sounds, not leaving your house). But since then, she's christened the bathrooms at the Child Watch at the Y, at a rest stop on the Mass Pike (yuck!), at both grandparents' houses, and at dance class. I'm sure that she'll soon be trying out every bathroom in town. It's a miracle, but don't get me wrong - we still aren't foolish enough to take her out for more than an hour or so without having her wear a Pull-Up; but she's only had one accident in the last six days (and she was wearing a Pull-Up when it happened). At home, she wears big girl underwear and pants. And despite our initial desperation, we are pretty impressed with how quickly she took to this (despite that fact that we were basically pulling our hair out at the root when we first started). To be fair, we have always thought that once she put her mind to potty training, she would catch on very quickly. Emily is stubborn, but very smart. It looks like she decided to let the smart take over!

You were pulling your hair out at the root? So that's what happened to Lee! :)
