Lake Placid

The first week of May, Lee and I spent a couple of nights in Lake Placid. We stayed at a gorgeous hotel, built in the 1920s with wood paneling and stained glass windows that is part of the Craftsman style. We hiked Mount Jo on Monday and Saint Regis Mountain on Tuesday and spent our down time exploring some Olympic sites and relaxing in the living room of the hotel.  I have never been much of lake person, but Lake Placid just might have changed my mind.

Climbing Mount Jo

This deer just stood silently watching us as we hiked up the nearby trail.

Saint Regis summit - well worth the 1,400+ foot climb.
