April and May Soccer

Emily suffered a slight set back with her ankle and so was only able to play two games in April. The team played four games over ten days in early May, winning three and tying the last. They ended the regular season at 8-2-1, which is simply amazing. Nine girls on her Sporting team are playing college soccer next year, a record for any team at Sporting. We are so proud of all of these girls and blessed to have had them as such wonderful teammates, some for as many as ten years.

A weeknight win over longtime rival Ginga was the only time the entire team was ever at the field at the same time. Short term and long term injuries prevented them from all playing together this spring.

Emily's final two games were played in Maine and Rhode Island, so we had a long weekend of driving and one final overnight.

The final game was Emily's worst of the season, it was tough to go out that way.
