Clarkson Women's Soccer 2028

Last month, Emily announced that she will be attending Clarkson University, where she will choose a STEM major and play soccer. Her announcement brought an end to a long recruiting process for her. In late fall of 2022, she made a very good list of target schools and reached out to coaches with her recruiting video and a well thought out email. Almost every coach responded to her and thus began the long process of email conversations, phone calls, ID camps, more phone calls and emails, campus visits and finally, a decision. We initially visited Clarkson in early April and while she didn't love the campus, she really liked the coach, the program, and the playing style. She kept in touch with the coach, but continued to speak with several other coaches, as well going on visits. When it came time for ID camps and scouting visits from coaches, she performed at her absolute best for the Clarkson coach and we thought that it might be a sign. We planned a visit in September, during which we were able to take in two home games and Emily had an overnight with some of the girls on the team. The campus was gorgeous, she loved the players she hung out with, she felt great about the dorms. When we went to meet with the coaches on Sunday, she accepted the offer that she had been weighing since early summer. They were thrilled and Emily was genuinely happy and relieved to have made her decision at last.
