June was a hectic month of soccer, including the Catholic School Championship game and several Sporting games. Emily played well the first few games but then was fouled in an intentional and scary way at a game about a week in and it seemed to throw her off of her game. Despite head to head contact, she showed no signs of a concussion and was able to resume play but Lee and I both think that she played nervous the next few games. She had a few weeks off and has resumed play, now with her summer team. We are looking forward to some good tournaments in July and August.
These two have played together for a long time, but the Catholic School Championship game was likely the last time they will ever play together or even against each other.
JPII went undefeated during the regular season and the playoffs but lost in the championship game. It was the school's best ever record, but falling short in the final game was a tough blow.
