As we do every year, we got together to celebrate with my family the Saturday before Christmas. For the second year in a row, we were fortunate to have everyone together, including spouses and nieces/grandchildren. It was a low key afternoon filled with good conversation and laughter, and memories that we will cherish for a life time. As your parents age and your children grow, you begin to realize that the things you have taken for granted for so long may not exist in a few years, or even a year from now. I think that thought was not far from any of our minds as we celebrated together. Cherish every moment you have with your loved ones, especially during wonderful times like these.
This was a beautiful moment among cousins.
Official roast taste testers waiting (im)patiently.
Two thumbs up for Uncle Joe's roast!

Really hoping there is a North Face jacket in there....

Annual ornament from the godparents.
Keep the faith.
Much to his dismay, we celebrated Grandpa's birthday - he turned 80 yesterday. But apparently, there was a run on "0" candles, so he really only turned 8.
