This summer, the girls' school particpated in the Governor's Summer Reading Challenge. Every student was encouraged to read over the summer and log each book they read. Elizabeth got off to a good start, and although she slowed down during the four weeks that she attended Camp, she still read 57 books. Emily started slowly but then started getting into various series, and so had a great finish, reading 43 books! They submitted their logs on the first day of school and, at the first school-wide assembly of the year, they were announced as the top two readers in the school! They both received a certificate and Elizabeth received a free dress-down day. We are so proud of our girls!
