Last Saturday, Elizabeth made her First Holy Communion. It was such a wonderful day for our family and we are so proud of all of the work that she did in preparation for this sacrament. She took her religious studies very seriously and was very excited when the day finally came to receive communion for the first time. She looked so beautiful and so serene when she received the eucharist for the first time and Lee and I were bursting with emotion.
She carried her rosary beads, which Auntie Kathy brought her from Rome.
The bracelet that Lee and I presented her for her first communion.
The beautiful veil she selected.
I decorated the bottom of her shoes with cross decals.
Waiting her turn to walk down the aisle.
Elizabeth was the last to walk down the aisle - so grateful to my friend Julie for taking this video.
Elizabeth was selected to read the second reading during the mass.
Receiving communion for the first time.
A blessing from Father Ricky.
