We recently returned from a wonderful week on vacation in Rye, New Hampshire. The weather was absolutely perfect and we had a fabulous week, which included a couple of chances for some night swimming. Keeping in mind that our kids were 6 and 7, so "night" really means between the hours of 7-8:30, which is still daylight - but a treat nonetheless. On Saturday, the first day of our vacation, as well as a few nights during the week, the girls had the chance to burn off a little extra energy before bedtime by going swimming after hours and they loved it!
Taken on the first night of vacation, this may be my favorite shot of the entire week.
So happy to be on vacation!
Holding a crab (not sure how Lee got her to do that!).
A starfish!
A sea urchin!
Another favorite.
On Monday afternoon, they shut down the water because of a supposed shark sighting. After the beaches closed for the night, we took the girls back to the water to cool off. We weren't too convinced about the shark.
Will chasing sea gulls ever get old?
