A few weeks ago, the four of us went on a nature exploration with Everyone Outside, which is a great organization that provides educational experiences for adults and children alike. The program we did was called "Frog Friday" and our group leader took us deep in the woods to a vernal pond where we saw tadpoles, salamander eggs and all sorts of creepy, crawly things. I've taken the girls on excursions like this before, but this was the first time that Lee had the opportunity to join us and I think that he really enjoyed it.
Listening to Lucy explain different frog sounds.
Getting ready to view tadpoles and other creatures.
Lucy explains how to use the pond scope.
Sharing....
Looking through one of the guides for information about some creepy, crawling things.
The fuzzy spot in the vernal pond is salamander eggs.
