Shopping in the City

When we went to see Annie, we made sure to put aside a little bit of time to go shopping - and it was fun, as always.  A new store this time - Lego in Rockefeller Center - as well as the old standbys.  These girls are shoppers!!

Believe it or not, the girls were disappointed in the Lego store - too many people, too small of a store.

A ridiculous replica of Rockefeller Center.

Check out the attention to detail!

Broadway!!!

A few weeks ago, we surprised the girls with a trip to New York City to see their first ever Broadway show!  It was our first time seeing a Broadway show too, and we picked a really great one - Annie!!  When the show came out in the fall, it received a tremendous amount of publicity and the girls were clamoring to go.  We decided to get tickets for March because we were concerned that the weather could be an issue - and wouldn't you know it, Mother Nature dumped about 15 inches of snow on us the day before we were set to go.  But we made it anyway, and had a wonderful time. The show was absolutely spectacular and the girls were on the edge of their seats the entire time.  Can't wait to go to another show!!

Souvenirs!!!

Emily was literally on the edge of her seat for the entire show.

Old Friends

There is nothing like playing in the snow with your oldest friends!  The girls had a wonderful visit with Ethan and Owen a few weekends back, and while Janet and I chatted away, they played in the snow!
But first, a little Just Dance!

Wheeeeee!!!!!!

While I do love Janet and our time together, these photos might be my favorite part of every visit!!

First Friday (and Sunday) Mass

Each month, a different grade leads the first Friday mass at school, and celebrates mass together on Sunday as well.  This month, the first graders were chosen and Emily was picked to read the responsorial psalm at the First Friday Mass.  She practiced every evening for us and when the time came, she did a great job!  We were very proud.  Yesterday, she was chosen to help bring up the gifts to the alter.

Easter Extras

The napper has turned into the reader.  Car rides are forever changed.
We spent a little bit of time at Ethan and Owen's house - we had to deliver Girl Scout cookies, so the kids posed for their traditional shot (we might have one of these from the last four or five Easters!).  I can't get over how grown up they are.
Why yes, those are matching outfits.  She was so thrilled, it was ridiculous.

Easter at the Lake

This year, Easter in New Hampshire was hosted by Grammy and Grampy, at the lake.  There was a ridiculous amount of food, as always, plenty of good company and lots of laughs.  The girls were outrageously spoiled, per the usual!
The girls love Grammy and Grampy's little dog Nestor.
Loves all things pink and pretty!
The face says it all: Ha!  Pez!  And it's a gift, so it's mine and you can't take it away!!
They love pretty things - and can't wait for the weather to clear so we can put these in the yard.

This has Aunt Denise written all over it.
Happiness!
A close inspection of the 3-1 set, which she has wanted for quite a while.
Cold Stone gift certificate!

Easter Blessings

We are always grateful for our wonderful little girls, who have given us so much happiness and joy in just a few short years.  They are truly our Easter blessings.
