Manchester

We spent the majority of time in Manchester and we really fell in love with the city.

Man City v. Newcastle

On our last night in England, we were able to take in a Man City game, when they played Newcastle. Our seats were only three rows from the field and while we were all together as a group, we had plenty of "true" City fans around us, giving us a flavor for what the games are like - and when they didn't like how Man City played, they let them know! Man City won 1-0 and we were so lucky to see such a great game, and so many amazing plays up close.

Kate has been my soccer ride-or-die since our girls started playing together when they were 7, so it was fitting that we were on this trip together and got to experience this all together.

International Friendlies

While in England, the girls not only trained, but played friendlies against three different academy teams.  They won the first two and the third, which was incredibly evenly matched, was a thrilling 0-0 draw. Emily scored three goals and had an absolute blast playing.
