The girls were off from school on Election Day and I have a few vacation days remaining, so I took some time off from work and the four of us drove up to Yankee Candle's flag ship store for a day of shopping and fun (poor Lee). I love Yankee Candle and was able to get a lot of accessories for the Thanksgiving holiday (I have tons of Christmas stuff, but seem to fall short with other holidays) - thank goodness for coupons!!! The girls had fun shopping, believe it or not, and also made some candles while we were there, which was fun too. We had lunch at the Chandlers, the Yankee Candle restaurant, and then visited the candle history museum before leaving. It was a great way to spend the day.
Inspecting the map, deciding where to go first.
Making a candle.
The finished product.
The girls had a great time at Wax Works - we could have stayed there all day!
Dipping her candle.
A Christmas-y letter E!!
Elizabeth colored fall leaves.
Part of the candle history museum, which was very cool.

Looks like so much fun! We are planning a big trip up to NE when the kids get a bit older. We'll definitely have to get some of your advice on what to see!!
I like that jar candle Elizabeth made. Next time we go I think I'll have to make one of those kind.
