Brick Loot

Knowing how much Elizabeth loves Legos, Mike and Sandra sent her something called Brick Loot for her birthday.  Brick Loot is a company created by a 9 year old boy that loves Lego.  Each month, a different Brick Loot box is filled with 4-8 items that were hand picked by Lego lovers - different themes, etc.  Elizabeth received her shipment in late August and built it in one afternoon during the week before school started. Very cool!!

The Best Combination

The girls love Harry Potter and they love Lego, so what could be a better long weekend project than putting together the huge, Hogwarts Castle lego set that Elizabeth received for Christmas last year?  They really got into it, and it came out great.

January Odds and Ends

Some photos that didn't make our (very few) January posts:
Playing Hunger Games while the snow falls. Clearly, this was at the beginning of the month, as we haven't seen the grass in weeks.

With the tree gone, they are blissfully happy working at their table.
Baxter snuggling in Emily's bed with her lambs.
5th grade greeters at the school Open House.
A girl and her dog and her book - what could be better?
Elizabeth had to dress up as a character from her book when she presented her book report - we had to borrow the Yankees had from a neighbor so that she could complete her Annabeth look.
Two Lego architecture pieces built in one day.

The pups, snuggled up nice and warm under blankets on a brutally cold January night.
Emily made this family tree for a Brownie project - it totally cracks me up.
Reading nook.
So far this winter, every fever and migraine that Emily has suffered has fallen on a weekend or day off.  We seem to have pinpointed the triggers, so we are hoping that she can hold strong for the rest of the winter.
First day of winter lacrosse clinic and Elizabeth couldn't be happier.

Christmas...And Then Some

We crashed the Bouchers family party on Christmas Eve - no big deal.
Love this photo of our girls with the Boucher Boys, courtesy of Janet.
Traditional tree ornament from Uncle Mike and Auntie Sandra.
Opening gifts with Grammy and Grandpa on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Eve ride home from New Hampshire.
Opening presents with Grammy and Grampy.

Another lamb for her collection!
Opening gifts from Aunt Denise on New Year's Eve.

July Odds and Ends

Photos that didn't make the cut in July:
A week of soccer camp!
Emily was chosen as camper of the week!
A fabulous build!
Most days, Lee rides his bike to the gym.

A lesson with her flute teacher via Skype.
She loved the series and read it in less than a week.
A little air time at the pool.
Forgot about this one from our vacation - Lee, his dad and brother.
