Last Dance

She started playing lacrosse in second grade, and played her final game as a grad student. It's been quite a ride, watching Elizabeth fall in love with lacrosse, fall out of love with it, and then work her way back to playing with complete and utter joy. We are so damn proud of her.

First Day of Sophomore Year and Masters Degree

Emily's first day of sophomore year and Elizabeth's first day of her master's program, and (maybe) her last ever first day of school.

And We Have a College Graduate!

On Saturday, Elizabeth graduated summa cum laude from the University of New Haven. She finished her undergraduate degree in three years and in her final year, she also worked full time, volunteered 12 hours a week at CDHR and played club lacrosse. She graduated as the top student in the National Security program and will return to New Haven in the fall to complete her masters degree. We are incredibly proud of her and all that she has accomplished these last three years. 

April Lacrosse

Elizabeth played her final club lacrosse games over the first few weeks in April. Both games were tough losses. There is a lot of bad blood between the NH and CCSU lacrosse teams and she just barely squeaked through that game without getting tossed out. The game against Bryant was must calmer, her only game of the season without a yellow card. We are hopeful that club rules allow for graduate students to play, so that she gets one more season but if not, she had a wonderful time playing with these girls.

It was freezing cold and pouring rain when they played CCSU.

When this girl couldn't stop Elizabeth, she just reached out and grabbed her shoulder as she went by - resulting in a yellow card and an 8 meter shot for Elizabeth (goal).
