Minecraft Birthday

One of Elizabeth's closest friends from school had his birthday party last weekend at a local pool club.  It was a sweltering day, so it was perfect for a pool party!  The kids all had a great time playing around in the water and with the games inside the club and then, when it was time for cake, we all walked to his house, which is conveniently right around the corner from the pool club.  The theme of his party was Minecraft, which is a video game that all of the third graders at school are crazy over.  His mom made a crafty little kick (which impressed me to no end because I try to avoid this game as much as possible) that totally took the birthday boy by surprise.  He was literally shaking when he saw it!  Afterwards, the kids went outside to hit a piñata, spray silly string, and then head back to the pool.  It was a great party!!
