Braggalope Bay 2013

Last Sunday, we headed up to Braggalope Bay to spend the day with my friend Sheila and her family, as well as the families of my other close friends from high school.  We had the kind of day that makes the long drive worth it - good food, good friends, good times.  The kids had a blast in the water - Ethan and Elizabeth even swam across the lake with Mr. Bragg (all of them wearing life jackets, of course) and both girls enjoyed a bit of kayaking.  I, of course, enjoyed spending my time with my best friends from high school, chatting away.  It was one of the best days in a long while and I wish that we could get together more often.
Kevin caught a fish almost immediately after he put his line in the water - and this was no little sunfish either!

Ethan caught a fish too!

Looking for critters in the weeds....
Getting some air!!!
Kid kayaking was a big hit!

Travis loved jumping from his Grandpa's shoulders!

Emily got stuck near the rocks so I had to go into the lake and free her before she fell out of the kayak in a panic.  The girls thought that this was hilarious, as I never, ever go in lake water, and so had to get some photo evidence!!
Elizabeth and Ethan swam all the way across the lake with Clint - all of them wearing life jackets, of course, but impressive nevertheless.
