Last Saturday, the girls and I spent the day at the Mystic Aquarium. We've been there a few times before, so despite the crowds, we did a good job of getting to where we wanted to be - and the girls had very specific ideas about the exhibits that they wanted to see, no doubt. Perhaps one of the coolest exhibits was the Birds of the Outback (more on that in a later post), where birds flew around freely. While we were there, we ran into
Nolan and Lucia, but we were headed in opposite directions so didn't even have the chance for a group photo. Maybe next time. We ended our day with some yummy ice cream from Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream!
Watching the beluga whales, always a favorite.
One of the belugas, playing in the water.
Near the sea lion exhibit.
Up close and personal with the penguins - we've never really seen them out and about before.
Doing the back float.
My little cutie, near the koi pond.
The drawbridge in Mystic, which we watched while we ate our ice cream.
