Summer Odds and Ends - Emily's Version

Odds and ends from this summer, featuring mostly Emily:

Beach day with Sporting teammates.

Emily spent a long weekend in Geneseo with her college roommates.

Emily's birthday gift was Chris Stapleton tickets. What a show.

Beau was attacked by another dog while on a morning walk with Lee and had to wear the cone of shame for a while.

Elizabeth's Excellent New Mexico Adventure

Elizabeth had a fantastic summer in New Mexico. She did difficult and interesting work, made a ton of friends and really fell in love with the southwest and all that it has to offer. She fulfilled a life long dream, taking weekly horse back riding lessons, and spent a lot of time hiking and enjoying the great outdoors.

Her friend Sophia visited and they spent the weekend on a ranch in Colorado.

Apparently, New Mexico has monsoon season. Who knew?

Elizabeth's 21st birthday present from us was a hot air balloon ride over Albuquerque. She had to get up before dawn to make it happen, but it was worth it.

Road Trippin' - Part 2

Elizabeth's internship in New Mexico came to an end in mid-August so Lee flew out to meet her and they drove back home together. They took a different route this time - drove through a few different states - but they were not fans and will go back to their original route next time. Next time? Yes - Elizabeth has been offered a full year internship, which she begins at end of August. She will work remotely through her first semester and then will return to Albuquerque in early spring.

First time I think that we've ever all been so far apart from one another.

Lee landed in ABQ and they started heading home almost immediately.
